What is the GenDev Scholarship?
The Generation Developer Scholarship provides financial and professional support to ambitious students in Munich with a passion for software development.
It helps you to further develop your programming skills and to exchange ideas and learn from each other in a peer group with other top-class developers.
Applications will be accepted from September 21st - sign up to be notified by email as soon as the application period starts!
About the GenDev Scholarship
Financial support
We will support you with a monthly grant of €565 for your free use.
Tech events and networking
Look forward to exciting tech events, hackathons and talks on current IT topics, which are an integral part of the scholarship.
Hackathon Trip
Within the scholarship you'll be invited to join a four-days-Hackathon by CHECK24. You will travel together with the other GenDev members to a cozy new work space in Austria to spend some time together while you are working on your own projects or collaborate with the others.
AI Budget
We will give you access to an AI Coding Agent that you can use for all your private projects.
Work Shadowing
Interested in what a typical workday as an IT manager looks like? Boost your future career path and get a glimpse of this reality today.
Career entry
We do not expect anything in return for the scholarship.
If you want to gain practical experience, as a scholarship recipient you will have access to exclusive projects that are not available on the official careers page.

Your profile
You are studying a technical degree program
Your focus is on Computer Science or a closely related field (e.g. Business Informatics). You must be enrolled for the total duration of the Scholarship.
You have a passion for coding and software development
Whether it’s personal IT projects, new technologies, or hackathons – you see them as more than university topics. You bring real passion and excellent coding skills.
You live in the Greater Munich area
For our exclusive scholarship events at the CHECK24 headquarters near Donnersbergerbrücke, your travel time is no more than one hour.
You actively contribute to the scholarship program
You are eager to participate in our tech events.
Application process
You can apply for the scholarship twice a year: in spring and autumn. The application process consists of several steps in which we assess your personal and professional skills.
You apply by submitting your CV and most recent academic transcripts. If your application meets the scholarship criteria, you will be invited to an assessment at our Munich office. You can choose between two available dates. After successfully completing the assessment, you will be invited to a personal interview. You will then receive the final decision.
